Take them with you

Bringing your child to work before or after Labor Day can introduce them to different kinds of jobs and people. You can show them how you and your coworkers contribute to a larger cause.

Say thank you

Ask your child if he would like to thank any workers he knows like the garbage man, the mail man, or anyone else he has encountered. Bringing thank you notes to the local police station or fire station can also be a great way for your child to be involved in his community.

Dream big

Talk to your child about what she would like to be when she grows up. Look through books or magazines to find occupations your child is interested in.
