The Boston Family Engagement Network is a citywide coalition focused on raising awareness about the importance of family engagement in the life of a young child. We are parents, caregivers, community partners, early educators and family support workers who are invested in ensuring that beginning at birth, all young children have access to a quality educational experience whether at home, in school, or in child care, that supports all areas of their development.

Our core services and programs include:

  • Welcome Baby visits
  • Early literacy home visits
  • Early literacy workshops
  • Parenting education classes
  • Family Cafes
  • Parent (Caregiver) - Child Playgroups
  • Parent Leadership support and training

Massachusetts State Parks offer a wonderful variety of activities, amenities, and natural features that make each park unique. They include beaches, wooded parks, parkways, reservoirs, and more. Each park also offers special events, nature activities, and educational programs for people of all ages and abilities all year long. Ames Nowell State Park offers the following recreational opportunities: non-motorized boating, canoeing, fishing, grilling, group day use, horseback riding trails, mountain biking, picnicking, skiing (cross country), and walking trails.

Services include developmental screenings and evaluations, service coordination, referrals and consultations, and much more. There are no out-of-pocket costs to families for these services.

The Anne Sullivan Early Childhood Program offers early intervention services to children birth to three years of age who exhibit developmental delays, have a diagnosed condition or who are at-risk for developmental delays due to biological, medical or environmental risk factors. Services include developmental screenings and evaluations, service coordination, referrals and consultations, and much more. There are no out-of-pocket costs to families for these services.
