Massachusetts State Parks offer a wonderful variety of activities, amenities, and natural features that make each park unique. They include beaches, wooded parks, parkways, reservoirs, and more. Each park also offers special events, nature activities, and educational programs for people of all ages and abilities all year long. Balance Rock State Park offers the following recreational opportunities: hiking trails, picnicking, a scenic vista, non-motorized boating, fishing, grilling, group day use, historic sites, horseback riding trails, hunting, mountain biking, nature & birding trails, skiing (cross country) snowmobiling, and walking trails.

The Brockton Early Childhood Intervention Program is a public health program that provides therapeutic support to infants and toddlers who have developmental delays or are at risk for such delays. Services include speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and skill development. The majority of services are provided in the home or other locations where the child and family feel comfortable and are included as part of the child’s normal daily activities. There is a nominal yearly fee for services, which is determined by family income, but most health insurance providers, including Medicaid, pay for Early Intervention services. No child will be denied due to inability to pay.
